LearnOncology.ca ("us", "we", or "our") operates http://www.learnoncology.ca and other websites under the learnoncology.ca domain (collectively, the "Sites"). This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit the Sites. We provide online educational material (the “Service”) to the visitors of the Sites.

Personal Information We Collect

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Visitor Information. We will never sell, rent, or distribute your Personal Information.

Visitor Information

When you actively fill out forms through the Sites, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Visitor Information.”

Device Information

When you visit the Sites, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Sites, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Sites, and information about how you interact with the Sites. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect and use Personal Information for the following reasons:

To Communicate with You

We use your Visitor Information to communicate with you. When you fill out and submit any contact forms, the information you send to us, including but not limited to your email address and message, will be processed, and stored in the database of Webflow, then forwarded to us via email. We consider Webflow to be our third-party processor.

The data you submit will be stored within Webflow’s database as we continue using Webflow’s web hosting services, or until you submit a removal request to delete this information. You can do this by sending us a removal request email. Please send your removal request email to us using the email account that you want to remove.

To Notify You about Services that You Signed Up

If you filled out any email notification or subscription forms, the information you provide to us, including but not limited to your email address and name, will be forwarded to MailChimp. The information will not be stored within this website’s database (i.e. Webflow’s Database).

The data you submit will be stored within MailChimp’s database as we continue using MailChimp’s email marketing services, or until you submit a removal request to delete this information. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links in any email notifications we send you or by sending us a removal request email. Please send your removal request email to us using the email account that is subscribed to the email notifications.

To Study User Interaction

We use Google Analytics, one of our third-party data processor, to record Device Information. This data is used to track how site visitors interact with the Sites and to improve the Sites.

The information Google Analytics collects may include, but is not limited to your device, internet browser, and geographical location. Though none of this information personally identifies you to us. In addition, Google Analytics records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but we do not have access granted by Google to see or use this information. You can disable cookies on your internet browser if you do not want Google Analytics to track your page visit within the Sites.

To Determine User Demographics

If you have not visited the Sites in the past thirty days, we ask you to fill out a pop-up form to self-report your occupation, location, and site visitor status. This information is not considered Personal Information because it does not personally identify you to us, nor is it combined with other Personal Information collected by other means on the Sites. We use this data to better understand our users so we could modify and develop our content in the future to better serve our target users. The record is purely for statistical purposes.

We make use of cookies to indicate if you have visited the Sites in the past thirty days. The cookies are only used to prevent pop-up forms from appearing frequently during your visit.

If you do not wish to have cookies used for this purpose, you can disable cookies on your internet browser.

To Remember Your Preference

We use a cookie to store the cookie consents you have given to the Sites, whether you allow other cookies or not. This is a necessary cookie.

Correcting and Updating Your Information

You have the right to access, correct, update, or delete Visitor Information we hold about you. If you would like to do so, please contact us through the contact information below. Additionally, if you are a European citizen, please note that your information will be transferred to Canada and the United States.

Children’s Personal Information

The Sites are not directed towards children under the age of 13 nor do we knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any identifiable information to us.

Data Breaches

In case there is any unlawful data breach of the Sites’ database or the database(s) of any of our third-party data processors, i.e. identifiable Personal Information has been stolen, we will report to all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please check back occasionally for any policy changes as we will not explicitly contact our users of these changes. When you continue to use our Sites after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page, we will assume your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
